Parent/Child LEGO “Antarctica” Build Challenge
Calling all parents who have a secret love of building with LEGO – how would you like to spend some quality bonding time imagining and building the world’s least visited continent – Antarctica. In this 2-hour challenge, you will need to build a base camp including a communication hub, supply shed and somewhere for the brave LEGO explorers and scientists to sleep and work. Will your team be exploring the land and racing to the South Pole with dog sleds or are your researchers investigating the ferocious waters surrounding the Antarctic? To embark on your epic journey will you go by sled or by boat? Watch out for icebergs and the local wildlife – be careful hungry penguins and leopard seals don’t raid your supplies!
Each pair will be grouped in a team of 4, to embark on their version of LEGO Antarctica using our Creative Theme Build Kit of over 4000 elements. Teams will then have the opportunity to present their creations and to vote for their favourite one. There is no age limit to being a mini-engineer, so grown-ups…grow down for the day!
Note: Each child can bring one parent/adult. Each child will be grouped into teams of two. Let us know if there are certain friends/siblings that your child would like to be teamed with.
